|
The French artist Edgar Degas (1834-1917) experimented with the expression of movement in his paintings and sculptures. While painting Degas also modeled wax sculptures to better understand and express the body in movement. The best of these were cast in bronze after Degas’ death. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek now shows the museums complete set of more than 70 of the artist’s bronze sculptures. Opening hours: Tue-Sun 11-17 Admission: Adults 60 DKK, children (0-17 years) free. Sundays free admission for everyone. Photo: Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek Published 2010-03-08 11:17 |
