Kunsthal Charlottenborg

Next to Kongens Nytorv you´ll find Charlottenborg´s old exhibition hall from 1883, today refurbished and named Kunsthal Charlottenborg. The exhibition hall contains Danish and foreign contemporary art, mainly focused on fine arts. When the gallery was taken over by Swede Bo Nilsson, focus was put on contemporary young art and since today’s fusion of design, architecture and crafts it also brings an opening for other art forms. The heart of the exhibit hall is the Mezzanin room, with 250 square meters earmarked for non-commercial art activities. Anyone who is active in the Danish art society can use the hall for own projects, for example lectures or exhibits. At the top floor you will find two exhibition halls used either together or as each other’s opposites.
