Madeleines Madteater

Madeleines is a”food theatre” and food laboratorium which offers a truly special experience. In a 1000 square feet facility, the owners Mette Sia Martinussen and Nikolaj Danielsen work with scenes and staging, tomorrow’s dining habits and multisensory meals together with some of the most prominent food designers and cooking artists. The food is placed in a new context and is allowed to meet other artistic expressions. The audience is invited to new performances each season, which coax both the appetite as well as your senses. Larger groups can also book an entire private evening in the theatre. Then you choose from selected scenes from former performances, where either 3 or 4 servings are included, as well as wine. Or why not an evening with “Color Code”? A 15 meter long buffet is then served where the food is arranged in a color spectrum ranging from black to white. Madeleines Madteater has amongst other been rewarded with Den Danske Designpris (The Danish Design Award) for its experience-, conceptual- and food design.
