La Glace

Denmark’s oldest patisserie La Glace opened in 1870. It’s very clear when you walk into the old fashioned rooms, that this is a place where tradition is important. La Glace is famous for its delicious cakes and there are always 18 cakes to chose from. With its location just by the main shopping street Strøget, the confectionery is popular with both tourists and residents and is almost always full. But with about 90 seating places there are always people coming or going and it rarely takes more than 5-10 minutes to get a table. You can also order tea, cookies, chocolates and other delicacies from La Glace’s web shop.
