Café Sommersko

Café Sommersko opened in 1976. It was the first Danish café that was modelled after the cafés in Paris and had nothing to do with the pub environment that was the norm in Copenhagen at that time. The atmosphere in Café Sommersko is cosy and you can still see traces of Paris. Art and French posters are hung all over the walls and the courses on the menu have French names like omelette chévre et épinards and noisette d’agneau grillée. You can eat lunch, brunch and dinner here at reasonable prices, or just have a cop of coffee or a beer in the bar. The man behind Café Sommersko, Kenn André Stilling, is also the progenitor of the similar cafés Dan Turèll and Café Victor.
