Det Lille Apotek

This is the oldest restaurant in Copenhagen. As far back as 1720 Det Lille Apotek first opened its doors to the hungry masses, and since then the premises has provided good old-fashioned cosiness and a menu that is Danish through and through. With its leaded windows and old-fashioned decor Det Lille Apotek gives you the feeling that you’ve travelled back in time. You can almost see the regular customers of the old days: Hans Christian Andersen, Ludvig Holberg and Axel Sandmose. It’s even possible that Peter Faber wrote the beloved Christmas song ”Højt Fra Træets Grønne Top” here.
