Kirkens Genbrug is the name of Danmissions chain of second hand stores whose surplus goes to charity. The second hand work started in 1977 in Fredrikshavn and have since then developed into a large number of enterprises across the country. They offer a wide selection of everything from furniture and interior design products to clothes, chinaware, CD's and books. The stores aren't that well-sorted, but if you have the time and energy you can really make a bargain. The store on Jagtvej is the largest store and this is the place to turn to if you need things for your home. You will find furniture such as dinner-tables, armchairs as well as a selection of books and a large number of clothes for both men, women and children.
The furniture station on Ravnsborggade has a slightly different selection, but is included in Danmissions chain of recycling stores. It's a cosy store with imported products, a large variety of tea and second hand furniture in retro style.
