Both the winner and the second runner up in Chef of the year 2008 came from restaurant Vendel in Malmoe. Vendel offer gourmet lunch and dinner. For lunch you can order Today´s special or a three course menu which can consists of courses like crayfish bisque with Jerusalem artichoke, cod with foie gras, preserved raw lingonberry and caramelized vanilla crème. The prices, like the cooking skills, are high at Vendel. A three course menu cost 395 SEK, 6 course menu 895 SEK. The service, food and atmosphere are impeccable and all the menus can be made vegetarian and adapted to allergies if you let them know ahead of time.
