Getting home late at night
|
As you stand there in the middle of the night after a successful evening at the nightclub, you may start to feel a bit worried – because what is really the easiest way to get home? Don’t despair, these days you can catch a bus, train or metro all night long during the weekends. Busses and trainsThere are busses that run all night long on Friday and Saturday nights in the greater Copenhagen area and every day of the week in Copenhagen City. And if you miss a bus, you usually don’t have to wait for a long time for the next. During the weekends there are busses leaving every ten minutes on most buss lines. Since November 20 , 2009, there are also S-trains departing at least once every hour between 01.00 and 05.00. Quick and easy with the metroIf you’re lucky enough to live nearby a metro station, you’re even better off. With trains departing at least every 20 minutes all night, all year around, and remarkably quick transportation, it can hardly be any easier to get home. Furthermore, the night fare that used to confuse people in the late hours has been abolished for metros as well as busses and S-trains. For those, that still think public transport is too much trouble, there’s usually no problem finding a taxi in Copenhagen.
