CityRiders get you home

After one and a half years of work sorting out the legal implications, CityRiders finally started in Copenhagen on November 5 2009. Now there’s no longer any excuse for driving home after one glass of wine to many at dinner. Instead you can get a driver to pick you up at the restaurant and drive you home in your own car.

They arrive on scooters

It works like this; before you get seated you order a CityRider through the restaurant. After you’ve finished your meal, your CityRider arrives on a miniscooter, which can be folded up to fit in the trunk of your car. All that’s left for you is to get in, lean back and enjoy the ride home, happy in knowing that you don’t have to go out and get your car back home tomorrow. CityRiders cooperate with a number of exclusive restaurants around the city and several others have already expressed an interest in cooperating.

Costs

However, it is not cheap to rent your own private chauffeur. CityRiders cost 70 kr in starting fee plus 28 kr per kilometre. But if you don’t like going by public transport and you think that a cab home would be fine if it wasn’t for the trouble of getting the car back home the following day, CityRider might be for you.
