A Day in the Park

Copenhagen has a lot of parks that suits perfectly for a picnic during nice weather.
In Frederiksberg Have which surrounds Frederiksborg Slot, you find Chinese pavilions, temples and a dripstone cave.
Bernstorffsparken is a lovely park, designed with inspiration from the romantic English landscape gardens. Here you can stroll amongst large green lawns, oak- and beeches woods and visit The Queen Louise’s Teahouse with a view over the rose garden.
Fredensborg Slot & Slotshave and Kongens Have are also popular spots for couples in the spring and summer. Fredensborg Slotshave has the largest and most well-preserved baroque gardens in Denmark with 70 sculptures to look at.
Tivoli is also worth a visit at any season. When the spring arrives, Tivoli is decorated with thousands of flowers, plants and Chinese lanterns in beautiful colors that lights up the park when it gets dark. Then you can take a walk around the lake and watch the fireworks.

Have a conference at the fortress

Dragør Fort was founded in the early 20th century to prevent invasions. The fortress is located on an artificial island and can only be reached via Prince Knuds dike. It’s a very green area and there are a number of activities, facilities and one hotel. The entire area measures 32 000 square metres, of which 2500 square metres is build upon. A lot of companies try the team building activities, the most popular one is table soccer were the participants are fasten in harnesses so they have to work together.

A stone’s throw from Jægersborg

Schæffergården is a farm that dates back to the 18th century and was build near a castle that’s named Jægersborg. It’s a picturesque area near Dyrehaven. In the beginning of the 20th century the building was renovated by Kaare Klint and was restored into its original architectural style. Schæffer is the name of the man that originally constructed the house for the castles guests.
