If you´re looking for records Malmoe is a good place to be. Well-sorted record store Skivesset is located at Nobeltorget and has a large selection of used CDs and DVDs. But the main reason to visit Skivesset is their amazing vinyl department. One floor down, in the cellar, you´ll find everything you need divided in different genres. They have everything from hard rock to easy listening, 60s soul and italo disco. The prizes are low and they have a vinyl record player you can use.

Records, coffee and clothes

At Möllevångstorget you´ll find the store Rundgång/Som ny. They focus on genres like kraut, cosmic, new wave, indie rock, electronic, italo disco and punk. Many of Malmoes DJs are regular customers at both Rundgång and Skivesset. The friendly staff and the costumers that fill the small space, sort of remind you of the book “High Fidelity” by Nick Hornby. If you´re thirsty you can have a cup of coffee and take a seat in the sofa while you listen to records played by the staff. Clothing store Som ny shares the premises with Rundgång so you can both buy records and get an outfit for the weekend. Be sure to go through 10 kronors lådan - "10 SEK box"!

Records Stores near Triangeln

If you walk from Rundgång towards Triangeln, you´ll come to Musik & Konst – a small store just behind Åhléns, which you can´t miss because of the uber cool Poison Ivy sign in the window. The staff is very competent and everything is meticulously chosen, and are more than willing to give you tips on new bands or records. When you´ve done your shopping at Musik & Konst, you should continue walking down Södra Förstadsgatan to Storgatan. Here you´ll find Malmö Skivhandel (Malmoe Record Store). They have a large selection of both new and used CDs to low prices.
